Privacy

Useful records without unnecessary surveillance.

This page explains the privacy approach planned for the public release of 21 Small Habits.

Pre-release attorney-review draft. This policy will receive a final legal review and effective date before commercial release.

Information stored locally

The current companion stores progress, habit check-ins, notes, fit adjustments, weekly reviews, and optional practice records in the browser’s local storage on the device being used.

No required account

The current version does not require a social profile or public account. It does not include public leaderboards, advertising, or automatic sharing.

Export and deletion

The app offers a private JSON export for preserving progress. A user can reset the app’s records from within the experience. Clearing browser data, removing the installed web app, or losing the device may also remove locally stored information.

Offline use

A limited offline shell may be cached on the device so the companion can continue to open when a connection is unavailable. Offline behavior varies by browser and operating system.

Optional features

Some planned practice companions may record information about reading, spending, movement, meals, meditation, gratitude, or decluttering. These records are intended for private self-reflection. They are not medical, financial, or diagnostic records.

Future services

If accounts, synchronization, subscriptions, analytics, or other online services are introduced, this policy will be updated before those changes are released.

Contact

A dedicated support and privacy email address will be published here before commercial release.
